What’s different about CBT with Jack?

Gold Standard Therapy and Training CBT is the gold standard talking therapy recommended by NICE and delivered across the NHS. I trained in CBT for two years at the University of Edinburgh and was awarded a distinction in my MSc Psychological Science.
Still Actively Involved in Research Most therapists deliver therapy. I also research it. I'm actively involved in studies at the University of Edinburgh investigating what makes treatment work, so the latest evidence shapes every session I deliver.
Psychoeducation and Skills That Last My approach to CBT doesn't just reduce symptoms. It draws from broader psychological research and teaches you to become your own therapist, with tools you can use for the rest of your life.

More about Jack

I'm a CBT therapist and researcher based in Edinburgh. I hold an MSc in Psychological Therapies with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, specialising in adapting CBT therapy for children and young people.

I'm actively involved in research funded by the Moray Endowment Fund, investigating brief low mood intervention success across Scottish mental health services. I'm also piloting a single session anxiety intervention for parents of children with anxiety.

I work with people of all ages, and believe that therapy should be collaborative, transparent, and provide you with skills you can use for the rest of your life.
